This is not "coverage" and we don't promise to hook you up with any VIPs.
What for What:
For $ 75.00 we give you a thorough editing and re-write of your Query Synopsis. That means we reveiw and re-write your logline and sysnopsis with lots of helpful suggestions. For $ 149.00 we give you a thorough Script Critique. That means we read your script top to bottom and provide a story analysis with lots of helpful suggestions. This includes a clear and detailed write up, not just a bunch of cryptic remarks. (if you're over 120 pages, we may need to negotiate a bit...) For $ 249.00 we'll do a detailed Story Restructuring. This includes helping you to get rid of what's not working and to add what's missing — scene-by-scene. We tell you what's wrong and how to fix it. Includes online coaching. For $ 749.00 we'll Line-Edit your entire script. This service is for those who are serious about having a clean, tight script for submission to industry pros or to important script contests. But please note: It's a total waste of time to line edit a story that isn't nailed down in the first place. So we don't recommend this service without first doing a Critique or Restructuring. |

Some Rave Reviews:
Fast Turnaround "I can't tell you how much more useful it is to get this back in such short order. The work is fresh in my mind and the feedback had greater impact." Online Process "Not having to print out a copy, mail it, wait for your returned copy, pay postage, read illegible handwriting, transcribe the changes... God, this saved time!" Specific Feedback "What I'd gotten from others was vague (this works or this doesn't work) type of feedback. Your specific suggestions about changing things, even if I chose to decline them or to change them, were SO much more helpful." Meaningful References "The references from other gurus and other literary/movie examples. This made things so clear and demonstrated your own expertise and knowledge."
Our Feedback Summary "The feedback summary in addition to the commentary within the text offered a context and let me view the individual suggestions within a larger frame." "Your critique remains a great resource to me." Our Suggestions "Your suggestions for increasing conflict and tension - again, I knew some of this was missing, and you had specific ideas for how to increase it... not just vague feedback. (I think I'll even surprise you a bit in the final edit.)" Our Story Restructuring "I knew from the beginning that the main things troubling my story were structural. I'd rearranged the damn thing about three times, but your suggestions were the most helpful of any I got along the way. You are exceptionally adept at moving the sequence of things around. It's what I came to you for, and what I got, in spades." Our No-Nonsense Approach "I did not need ass-kissing or smoke blowing. Your willingness to be candid was invaluable." "Having someone read your script and find its flaws is a little like asking them to snoop though your launder hamper. At the end you're a little embarrassed, but deeply grateful for the help... especially if they offer a great stain remover." "I can't tell you how appreciative I am of your time, your generosity and your candor." Our Editing "Great catches on inconsistencies. You caught this kind of stuff and even more subtle errors with amazing accuracy." Our Je Ne Sais Quoi "You possess a quality, both intellectual and aesthetic, which I believe is the very aspect needed to work within the landscape of the story, both with the text, the visible, and the subtext, the invisible, to make it a commercial success." "I am astounded (not too strong a word here) at your capacity to multi-task at a very high level. I don't mean jogging while dictating a report over a cell phone. Instead, I mean the ability to hold numerous disparate details in balance while synthesizing a whole from the parts. "...an astonishing empathetic imagination, able to suspend your own vision to yield to that of another writer in order to point out details that the artist may not see within his or her work." |
